The Bloedel Reserve, home to 150 protected acres on Bainbridge Island, WA, recently turned to Moff Interactive to make their Web site more user-friendly and easier to maintain and update.

The Bloedel site's impressive, user-friendly improvements include new, intuitive navigation, an online reservation system, larger photos, slideshows, flash video, audio and an "explore via map" feature that offers users a preview of sections of the virtual tour before they click on them.

Jeremy Moff says that in addition to these user-friendly modifications, the new SEO-optimized site was also designed with administrative ease in mind. He explains, "The Reserve's marketing team can now update text content on their own from a web browser admin area. Plus, because we built the public site with a Open Source publishing platform, we now have a wide range of plugins available along with the ability to custom code enhancements. This will allow the site flexibility to grow as needed."

Richard Brown, Bloedel's Executive Director, anticipates a boost in traffic to the updated site, due to SEO-optimization and the new user-friendly design, as well as an increase in visitors to the Reserve, thanks to the ease of the online reservation system. He says, "We implemented these enhancements to not only make the website more attractive and entertaining to internet users, but to facilitate their use of our web-based services. By having more of our visitors record their own reservations using this service, we will not have to spend as much staff time on the telephone with prospective customers. In the near future we hope to add online marketing services so that event tickets, publications, and memberships may be purchased by internet users. Allowing these various online services expands customer accessibility to our services and facility to a 24/7 scenario."

You can find out by downloading and installing Google's Toolbar. Click Here to download it. When you install it be sure to check "Enable Page."
