Presenting
the very latest and most powerful tool to prevent
viruses and junk email from reaching your computer. NOSPAM
is an email protection service that provides each user
with a web-based Message Center where your spam and viruses
are filtered and quarantined. Your legitimate email messages
are delivered to your email inbox, just as they always
have, but junk and virus-infected email is routed to your
Message Center. NOSPAM filtering is simple, powerful, and
safe - you're in control.
Trust your email (and
your spam) to the professionals: the
technology behind our NOSPAM service has won
the PC Magazine Editors Choice Award for
the last two years as the best anti-spam service on
the market.
When your service
is activated you will be sent detailed instructions
on how to access your Message Center and how to get the
most out of your protection against email junk and viruses.
The NOSPAM service grabs email
that appears to be junk or virus-infected and redirects
it to a password-protected online Message Center where
you can review and retrieve selected messages if you
wish. You will be able to set the level of restrictiveness,
specify what kinds of subject matter you want filtered,
and specify senders who are always or never filtered.
You can even "disinfect" mail
that has been "quarantined" because it appears to contain
a virus, and then receive only the safe part of that
mail.
NOSPAM service
overview:
- Your email passes through
automated filters that detect suspected junk email
and viruses, based on your personal preferences.
For exmple, you can have mail leniently or aggressively
blocked based on subject matter, including "get-rich-quick" and "adult" themes.
-
Suspicious email is directed
to your personal, web-based, password-protected Message
Center (it does not arrive at your computer's in-box).
Think of this as a quarantine area. In your Message
Center you can read the quarantined email online, delete
it, or deliver (forward) it to your in-box.
-
Initially
you should visit your Message Center often because the service "remembers
and learns" from your interaction with it.
-
NOSPAM lets you "block" senders;
meaning, email from them will always be filtered. Or
you can "approve" senders; meaning, their email will
always be delivered.
-
This service is completely
controlled by you.
NOTE: One
NOSPAM signup corresponds to one (1) domain name. You
can use your Message Center to add more addresses @yourdomain
to be filtered. The standard setup is just one
Message Center per domain into which all filtered spam
goes, so much like any other Control Panel function,
one (or more) person should be your mail administrator. If
you use additional domains (parked) for email you will
need to sign those up separately.
You can also add more Message
Centers for a single domain, if for instance 3 email users
each want to completely manage their own filtering, separate
from anyone else. This also requires a separate setup for
each user - just let us know.

note: we
not share information about our customers with the technology
provider (Postini) or anyone else, except when legally
required by authorized law-enforcement officials. If
you subscribe to this service, no one will
never know anything about your email. The
NOSPAM services are private and secure. The junk
email and virus protection is an automated process -
the contents of your emails are secure.

More Anti-Spam Tips:
NOSPAM can do a great
job of filtering spam and harmful viruses, but there
are more things you can do to prevent spam from ever
being sent to you:
- NEVER RESPOND OR UNSUBSCRIBE
TO SPAM
The promise is to take your name off the list,
but it's a lie. Your reply will simply confirm a
live address, and you'll get more spam.
- DON’T POST YOUR ADDRESS
ON YOUR WEBSITE WITHOUT MASKING IT!
Posting your email address on your personal home
page is just an invitation to spammers. Spammers
have software that "harvests" email addresses from
web pages. Any email address on a public web page WILL be spammed - guaranteed.
To defeat this tactic, use either a contact form, or mask your email address.
- DON’T GIVE YOUR EMAIL
ADDRESS WITHOUT KNOWING HOW IT WILL BE USED
If a website is asking for your email address, they want to use it for
something. Be sure you know what. Read the terms of use and privacy statements
of any site before telling them your address.
- NEVER BUY ANYTHING ADVERTISED IN
SPAM
The reason that people spam is because they can make money. They make money,
like all advertisers, by convincing people to buy a product. If no one
buys the things advertised in spam, companies will quit paying spammers
to advertise their products.
